Miller Homes is one of the UK’s longest-running housebuilders, based at its headquarters in Edinburgh where the firm started building new homes more than 90 years ago.
R&Co’s social media team were set a brief to help Miller Homes celebrate its 90th anniversary milestone using a series of customer-focused social media posts.
The content needed to showcase the business’ development since inception in 1934, and highlight its broad, diverse customer base across England and Scotland.

Using our industry knowledge as experts in property and construction, we developed our ideas around using customers from different regions in England and Scotland to position Miller Homes as a truly national brand.
From its inception in Edinburgh 90 years ago, Miller Homes has grown to become one of the UK’s most well-known housing brands, based on its exacting standards when building new homes, which has remained at the heart of its promise to customers from 1934 to present day.
Our tactical social media campaign delivery included reaching a customer base which was diverse in terms of location, age, ethnicity and gender.
We helped each customer to tell their story, providing authenticity to the campaign which proved a huge hit with Miller Homes’ multi-channel audience.
The team also worked closely with hand-picked influencers who shared a relationship with Miller Homes, to provide a different strand to the campaign for variety and balance.
The campaign achieved recognition internally as the best-performing series of content produced by Miller Homes during its 90th anniversary celebrations.
In total, the content produced by R&Co’s social media experts resulted in more than 140,000 views across the client’s key social media channels – ensuring the eyes and ears of its existing customer base and prospective customers had taken interest in the campaign.
More so, the content was as engaging as it was celebratory, with over 2,700 social media engagements ticking up over the course of the campaign, which ran as a series for around two months during the developer’s 90th year.
