To increase awareness of Prime Accountants Group’s inheritance tax services within the Midlands area and underline its expertise.
To achieve this, we recommended creating a survey focusing on how inheritance tax impacts Midlands families looking to support their loved ones, and generate backlinks to a bespoke inheritance tax calculator in the media coverage generated by the survey.
We commissioned a survey of 500 over-50s, looking at their financial planning during the cost of living crisis and how much money they were planning to leave for loved ones.
The results revealed 60 per cent spend their money on helping their families out financially, while more than one in four said they were worried about how much inheritance they would be leaving behind.
Close to 40 per cent had no idea how to accurately value their estate, with many unsure what inheritance tax (IHT) was or how it works in the UK.
We turned the results of the survey into a press release which was issued across regional and financial media.
We achieved a total of 17 hits in the financial press, each of which carried a backlink to the IHT calculator on the Prime website.
In the same month, we also secured a backlink on Sage, the market leader for integrated accounting, payroll, and payment systems, placing managing director Kevin Johns as a thought leader on the topic of preparing businesses for a recession.
We ended the month with 24 backlinks secured from the IHT campaign and other press activity.
