Looking back to look forward – R&Co’s incredible client retention

By Peter RobinsonIn Business, Media Relations, PR and CommunicationsPosted February 29, 2024
The team from Blythe Liggins - R&Co's longest retained PR client

Here at R&Co, I’m incredibly proud of the high-level of service, and success, we consistently provide to all our clients, no matter which sector they are in and the services they require from our award-winning agency.

But don’t just take my word for it as the managing director of R&Co, as you’d rightly expect me to be blowing the R&Co trumpet.

Simply put, our enviable client retention is among the best in the business and we’ve been working with our longest retained client, Blythe Liggins Solicitors, for more than 35 years.

And Blythe Liggins is not alone in benefitting from R&Co’s expertise and passion as we continue to enjoy close, and long-standing, working relationships with many other clients, including in the veterinary, logistics and supply chain and commercial property sectors.

The numbers speak for themselves – we worked for a combined total of more than 100 years for just six clients alone!

Client retention – The secret of our success

Well, there is no secret.

Each client is an individual entity, with its own needs and wishes, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Many client wins come through word of mouth, some R&Co has proactively pitched for, others have come directly to us as a result of our success with other clients, and some through a search engine due to our own SEO (we put our money where our mouth is).

Wherever the enquiry originates from, we take the time from the outset to fully understand what our client’s needs are and how best we can help them achieve their goals.

After all, they’ve entrusted us to look after an important aspect of their business, and we take that responsibility very seriously.

No done deal

Given that R&Co has been working with so many clients for so long, you might be forgiven for thinking that it’s a done deal for the work to continue forever.

Of course, while we believe that the successes for our clients will stand us in good stead, we also appreciate it’s a dangerous game to rest on your laurels.

That’s why we constantly look to improve as individuals, as a team and as a business.

Ways of working, including technology, have changed immeasurably since we started working with some clients, and as the landscape has changed, so R&Co has been at the forefront in using new tactics to benefit our clients.

Trust beyond doubt

At the end of the day, our clients know R&Co will go above and beyond for them.

We never take their business for granted and, in turn, they rely on R&Co to be their full-service PR agency.

They trust R&Co to deliver what it has promised – simple as that.
