May broke records for the hottest UK temperatures, and our PR team were turning up the heat too, delivering great results for our clients.
Hitting the headlines – again and again
Our client, Leamington-based solicitors Blythe Liggins hit the headlines an incredible 54 times in May, with coverage featured on websites with an average domain authority of 71 and scoring 20 backlinks.
We helped the firm raise awareness about new and upcoming changes to the Employment Rights Act, which could affect businesses. We also helped shine a light on its charity work, supporting the annual Two Castles Run between Warwick and Kenilworth.
Readers interested in finding out where they stand legally in neighbourly disputes over hedge trimming could read advice from Blythe Liggins in dozens of titles – from Ok! Magazine to The Mirror.
Groundbreaking new launches
We secured an exclusive interview with Motor Transport to announce the launch of northstarr, the parent company of pallet network operator Pallet-Track. The newly-formed logistics group aims to transform transport, warehousing and supply chain delivery.
A truck-load of coverage was also achieved for one of Pallet-Track’s shareholder members, Matthew Kibble Transport. Local, national and industry titles features news about the haulier’s six-figure investment and growth, with the likes of Lancashire Times and Logistics Voices among those to run the story.
Record-breaking runs
R&Co secured coverage for our client Miller Homes Southern, which supported the Run Frimley event for Frimley Health Charity. More than 1,200 runners turned out to raise more than £53,000 for the charity through 10k, 5k and one-mile routes.
New appointments
In more housebuilder news, William Davis Homes hit the headlines with a new appointment to its head office team. Ben Webster joined the West Midlands office as land and planning manager, with the news being featured in a number of titles including local outlet Warwickshire World and trade magazine Showhouse.
Industry-first innovation
Throughout May we carried out an ad-hoc project on behalf of Watson Fuels, one of the UK’s largest fuel suppliers. R&Co earned 12 pieces of coverage about an award recognising the firm’s innovation, which will transform the safety of engineers working at height on fuel tankers. Along with some great B2B coverage, we also secured a placement in the main industry title, Fuel Oil News.
Tea, cake and dogs
We organised an incredible influencer and press event in London for our client, Romanian dog charity Speranta Shelter. National and veterinary press, influencers (and their dogs too, of course!) visited a café in Chelsea where we had organised a talk from the shelter team, afternoon tea and pet portraits by Amie Barron Photography. The event was a huge hit with plenty of social media coverage, new contacts and vital donations made.
Finalists
May saw us get suited and booted to attend the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Awards, where R&Co was a finalist in the Influencer category.
We’re now looking ahead and prepping our outfits for the North England and Midlands PRCA DARE Awards where we’re shortlisted in two categories. Last year saw us named Medium Consultancy of the Year, so keep your fingers crossed and watch this space!
