NOVEMBER PR COVERAGE HIGHLIGHTS AT R&CO COMMUNICATIONS

By Sam SmithIn PR and CommunicationsPosted December 2, 20250 Comment(s)

Sparks were flying as R&Co’s media relations experts delivered a month of whizzes, pops and bangs for its clients to a backdrop of bonfires and fireworks in November.

Read on to find out more about our ‘wow’ moments achieved across broadcast, online and print media over the last month.

TRUCK LOADS OF COVERAGE FOR EMPTY RUNNING INSIGHT

A data-driven PR campaign to focus on and highlight the number of empty running HGVs across the UK compared to overseas proved a huge hit for the media, with several pieces of coverage rolling in to hear IPP’s thoughts on the matter as a thought leader for the industry.

The extra number of vehicles on the roads leads to more miles being clocked up, and therefore greater emissions being generated, to the detriment of all road users and the wider environment. Our logistics experts helped support IPP to deliver the story and tell it in the right way, for maximum impact.

DEADLY DOG DISEASE REACHES SEASONAL PEAK

Our veterinary experts began work with the BBC investigations team back in the summer to put together a package of content to educate dog owners on the dangers of CRGV, or Alabama Rot, to their pets over the winter months.

After sensitively approaching and setting up case study interviewees, we organised an on-site interview with Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists‘ CRGV expert Josh Walker to give dog owners advice about the rare and, sadly, deadly disease.

Not only did the project result in two BBC TV news pieces, an interview on BBC Radio Solent and an article viewed thousands of times on the corporation’s England homepage but, crucially, search volumes spiked to around 9,000 in the days following the coverage – a +1,500 per cent increase on the previous week.

AUTISM AWARENESS CAMPAIGN BACKED BY MILLER HOMES

The story of six-year-old Louie is one we’ve all followed closely this year, after the youngster’s enthusiasm for new homes and construction shone through to Miller Homes who are building close to Louie’s home in Frimley, Surrey.

Working with our property and construction pros to help tell his story, Miller Homes recently invited Louie and his family to the development to help them unveil a sensory room built within the developer’s showhome. The event was a landmark moment for UK housebuilding and delivered a message of intent to others living with Autism, thanks to the insight of a young boy with a huge passion.

£500K INVESTMENT FOR RAPIDLY GROWING LOGISTICS FIRM

With the UK news agenda firmly focused on The Budget delivered by Labour MP and current Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, in November, the opportunity to discuss growth and employment within a business setting was one not to be missed to ensure media pick up.

The success and rapid growth of Oldham-based H&B Logistics, part of the Pallet-Track member group, was a key story on this topic and so it was no surprise to see the piece duly used by regional and industry-wide media outlets alike. The company has invested £500,000 into its facility and create 10 new job roles to support its overall growth.

CALL TO ACTION FROM R&CO FOR EUROPEAN DOG CHARITY

Celebrations of a new client win coupled with a call for more support for R&Co’s newest client – Speranta Shelter – landed across multiple media outlets in November.

The Romanian-based dog charity require more UK support as it continues to aid dogs brought into its care and ultimately rehome the beloved pets for good. R&Co’s team of PR, social media and SEO experts will provide UK-based media support for the charity to help meet its aims.

LAUNCH SUCCESS FOR LOCUM VETERINARY APP

Pioneering technology already being utilised by more than 800 users launched by Ronda Vet proved to be of huge interest within the industry media, including Vet Times.

The app, which helps connect locum professionals with veterinary practices launched just four months ago, and is set to revolutionise the relationships and services provided by both. The 24/7 service connects both sides of the sector’s professionals in just 34 seconds – aiding their work and ultimately saving lives of animals across the country.
