October PR coverage highlights at R&Co Communications

By Ian GallagherIn Media Relations, PR and CommunicationsPosted October 30, 20230 Comment(s)
PR coverage highlights for October included a great story on the volume of pumpkins move by IPP and Barfoors of Botley.

It’s been another busy month here at R&Co with some spectacular PR coverage achieved for our clients throughout October. Read on to find out which campaigns we’re most proud of.

National PR coverage for North Downs Specialist Referrals

An unusual and interesting story for North Downs Specialist Referrals (NDSR) in Surrey, which has seen an “alarming spike” in the number of pets coming into contact with hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) medication.

NDSR has diagnosed five dogs with exposure to HRT this year and our story on the issue has been picked up by BBC News, The Sun, The Telegraph and Yahoo! UK.

We also secured a slot for NDSR clinical director Gerry Polton on BBC Radio Sussex to talk about the issue, which was also covered by the practice’s key local title, Get Surrey.

If you’re looking for top tier media coverage for your business, learn more about our veterinary and pet PR and marketing services.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

Halloween is the new Christmas, right?! The pumpkin producers at Barfoots of Botley would probably agree. Together with our client, IPP, Barfoots delivers a staggering one million Halloween pumpkins into UK supermarkets in just four weeks.

IPP is also responsible for delivering tens of millions of confectionery buckets for doorstep trick or treaters into the same stores.

The story has been covered by key logistics titles Motor Transport and Trucking, alongside leading FMCG titles Fresh Produce Journal and FPC and Barfoots’ local title SussexWorld.

Raising vital awareness of HSE delays for grieving families

Claire Kirwan, from our client Blythe Liggins Solicitors, is raising vital awareness of the delays to a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) report on a devastating factory fire.

A devastating factory fire on our patch here in Leamington destroyed Leeson Polyurethanes and tragically claimed the life of employee David Boswell.

More than two years on, Claire Kirwan, from our client Blythe Liggins Solicitors, is raising vital awareness of the delays to a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) report on the matter.

Claire is bringing civil claims on behalf of some of those affected by the fire, and is calling for more urgency from the HSE to conclude its findings.

Using our contacts in the Warwickshire and national media, we’ve secured coverage for the story on Coventry Live, Warwickshire World and Yahoo! UK among others.
