Wait, what happened to September? The R&Co team have been so busy celebrating our PRCA UK Awards shortlisting and straightening our bow ties that we didn’t stop to reflect on our September PR results.

Let’s take a look at the media coverage we secured for our clients this month…

Miller Homes digs deep for Midlands good causes

Miller Homes West Midlands is committed to helping local organisations through sponsorship and fundraising activities.

In September, the housebuilder helped Sutton United Tigers roar into the new season with a brand new kit, while our property PR team earned their stripes with local media hits on the story.

Thanks to housebuilder’s backing, the U13s team received a £1,000 donation towards home and away kits from the Miller Homes Community Fund, which was covered by several titles, including Birmingham World.

Meanwhile, the Miller Homes East Midlands team took on Tough Mudder to raise over £2,500 for Sands, the UK’s leading pregnancy loss and baby loss charity.

Our team were on hand to make a splash on the story, securing top local media hits, including coverage on In Your Area

SSO Logistics livery

Going the extra mile for SSO Logistics

We achieved 20 pieces of media coverage for new ad-hoc client SSO Logistics about the Merseyside firm attracting seven-figure investment from two Irish freight experts – Irish Freight Solutions and Allied Fleet Services.

The story swept the board in the logistics press, achieving online, print and newsletter coverage with all the industry’s key titles, including Motor Transport and MultiModal, as well as extensive regional B2B coverage.

BTOM’s up for new client Customs Support Group

Our logistics team hit the ground running for new client Customs Support Group, with a thought leadership piece around the latest post-Brexit customs changes.

The piece on Border Target Operating Model (BTOM) – biosecurity measures impacting food, animal and plant products – achieved excellent pick up in the logistics trade press including coverage in Forwarder, Logistics Handling and Transport and Logistics

Adding up the coverage for Prime Accountants

September was our best month of the year for our valued professional services client Prime Accountants Group, with 30 pieces of earned media.

Hitting the headlines in September was a change at the top, with Morgan Davies taking over from the long-serving Kevin Johns as managing director.

The story landed on multiple key titles across the Midlands and was syndicated by two major national outlets – MSN and Yahoo! Finance

National coverage raises awareness of fatal disease in dogs

Our veterinary PR specialists spent September raising awareness of a potentially fatal disease that is on the rise in dogs.

Davies Veterinary Specialists, part of Linnaeus, highlighted an alarming surge in the number of recorded dog leptospirosis cases.

To raise awareness of the symptoms to look out for, we secured national coverage with Countryfile covering the most frequently asked questions around the disease.

Midlands Marketing Awards

R&Co’s September ended with a hangover thanks to the Midlands Marketing Awards.

We donned our finest threads for a black tie event at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham, where we were shortlisted in two categories – Agency Team of the Year and Small Budget Impact.

Although we didn’t get to bring home a trophy this time, we did celebrate like winners and had a fun night celebrating our agency’s ongoing achievements.
