R&Co’s April PR coverage highlights

Spring well and truly sprung in April, and despite eating our way through a mountain of Easter eggs, our team continued to deliver blooming brilliant results for our clients. There were no April Fools for R&Co – here’s some of the tasty coverage we secured in print, online and broadcast.

FOI REQUEST REVEALS HEADLINE-GRABBING STATISTIC

Our PR team achieved 20 pieces of coverage for Protyre Autocare for a story based on a Freedom of Information request, sent to all English councils with responsibility for road maintenance. The data we received back revealed a huge spike in potholes on English roads in January and February compared with the same period in 2025.

Using localised data we secured coverage in London, Sunderland, Dorset, Buckinghamshire, Devon  Warwickshire, Solihull and Northamptonshire – coverage which earned an estimated 432,000 online views and nine backlinks to the Protyre Autocare website.

SWEET SUCCESS FOR IPP

We celebrated our client IPP’s 17-year partnership with confectionery giant Swizzels by shouting about their new contract renewal. The news was featured in both local, national and industry titles including the Derbyshire Times and MSN.

We also ensured IPP’s UK & Ireland managing director Andy Maddock hit the headlines with a thought leadership piece on the importance of digital intelligence in supply chains.

SEND SURVEY SECURES NATIONAL COVERAGE

We used data to deliver national results for our client, Hatfield Wick Education. We carried out a survey into special educational needs, and together we combed through the results to find the most impactful angle for the media.

With this information we then secured eight national press hits with an average DA of 86, including the Express, Mirror and Netmums.

PAW-FECT COVERAGE FOR MILLER HOMES

It was a great month for Miller Homes South Midlands who raised more than £30,000 for charity Medical Detection Dogs. Local titles such as Milton Keynes Citizen and Northampton Chronicle featured the news of the team’s incredible fundraising efforts.

Along with coverage of work beginning on one of the housebuilder’s new sites, our client received some impressive results in April, with more than 16,000 views across 11 articles.

FLEET INVESTMENT CELEBRATED

We marked a milestone for Bartrums, a shareholder member of our client Pallet-Track’s network. The haulage specialist took delivery of 15 new trailers, all branded with joint Bartrums and Pallet-Track logos, which received nearly 20 pieces of coverage across B2B and B2C titles.

News of Pallet-Track’s work with Logistics North East was also well-received by industry and local titles, resulting in a combined 46 pieces of coverage throughout the month.

ROMANIAN DOG SHELTER MAKES THE UK AIRWAVES

Work by our client Speranta was featured on BBC Cornwall and Devon radio when dog behaviourist Toby Craze went to the studio to speak about his recent visit to the shelter.

Toby was even joined by his own adopted former street dog, Nova (though luckily she didn’t have too much to say while the interview was being recorded!). It marked the first piece of broadcast coverage for this client, who has since gone on to be featured on a popular podcast.
