R&Co’s July PR coverage highlights

By Tom PayneIn Media Relations, PR and CommunicationsPosted August 6, 20260 Comment(s)
Pallet-Track's Freya Sangha showcased her nerves of steel by taking the plunge with a skydive for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

July was hot. In fact, it could have been too hot. However, as the nation reached for their cold drink of choice, getting lost in World Cup fever, our PR team kept their cool to slot home some fantastic coverage. Here’s a round-up of our stories making headlines last month.

Full-time whistle on men’s health

With the World Cup in full swing, our client H3 Health provided timely expert advice on the impact that weeks of late nights, extra pints and post-match takeaways could have on men’s health.

Dr Alex Vass from H3 Health warned a combination of alcohol, poor sleep and high-calorie food during the tournament could take a toll on energy, mood and even testosterone levels. The story struck a major chord, landing coverage in Men’s Fitness, the Daily Mail and the Daily Star.

Sky-high fundraising for Pallet-Track

Our longstanding client Pallet-Track continued its support of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in July, with the Wolverhampton firm raising more than £21,000 over the past six months.

Pallet-Track executive assistant Freya Sangha showcased her nerves of steel by taking the plunge with a skydive, raising more than £5,300 in memory of her late cousin, and marking 35 years of the charity’s lifesaving missions.

Pallet-Track has pledged to raise £150,000 by the end of 2028 towards a critical care car and we ensured this amazing news reached a wide audience, with coverage in Express & Star, Midlands Gazette, Black Country Chamber of Commerce and a number of trade titles.

Cutting the customs drain

Our client Customs Support Group (CSG) helped outdoor brand AMG Group tackle a costly post-Brexit customs headache – and we made sure the industry knew about it.

AMG Group, the business behind the Vango brand, had been paying ‘double duty’ on goods re-exported from the UK to Europe.

Working with CSG, the Port Glasgow business implemented a customs warehouse solution to remove the extra charge, delivering a significant saving to the business. We secured coverage of the story in trade titles including OI Compass and Outdoor Insight.

A new role at William Davis Homes

William Davis Homes had some cracking coverage in July for the appointment of Dan Endersby as the housebuilder’s new, and inaugural, chief operating officer.

We ensured the appointment to this newly-created senior role was recognised in the trade press, with coverage including this excellent piece via Showhouse.

Racing to raise funds at Silverstone

Another of our property clients, Miller Homes South Midlands, swapped hard hats for crash helmets for a fundraising day at Silverstone, with the resulting story motoring into the press.

Teams took part in a three-hour endurance race on the Formula 1 track, raising an incredible £37,892 for Baby Basics Northampton, the developer’s partnered charity supporting vulnerable newborn babies and families. We secured coverage in the Northants Telegraph.
