While the mercury was rising in June, the R&Co PR team stayed cool and delivered great results for our clients. Check out the stories that gained our hottest headlines this month.
Veterinary firsts
There was strong coverage for our client Ronda, an industry-leading veterinary locum platform. The pioneering team at Ronda introduced a reciprocal review system for both locums and vet practices – a first for the veterinary world – to make the process more transparent for both parties.
Our work resulted in coverage across multiple key publications, including the industry’s leading title Vet Times.
These boots were made for walking
Our clients Miller Homes East Midlands swapped their hard hats for walking boots to trek thousands of miles for Cancer Research UK.
The Derbyshire-based housebuilder donated £1 for every mile staff walked, with more than 100 members of the team taking part in the fundraiser. They raised an incredible £10,000 for the charity.
We ensured their efforts were recognised in titles including In Your Area, Midlands Gazette, the Derby Telegraph and East Midlands Business Link.
The coverage for this client didn’t end here, with titles including the BBC, Leicestershire Live and Insider Media all featuring the news of a new housing development in Whetstone.
We focused on messages of planning consent, unblocking planning and the delivery of new homes, and secured a total reach of more than three million views of this news.
IPP rolls out new pallet
Global hygiene business Essity teamed up with our client IPP to roll out a display pallet in Lidl stores, which allows them to be more flexible in a fast-paced retail environment where the speed of stock rotation is key.
We used the news to gain valuable headlines in multiple key industry titles including Motor Transport, Factory and Handling Solutions and Logistics Business.
Going the extra mile to cut carbon emissions
Pallet-Track announced its ambitious carbon reductions targets, aiming to reduce emissions over the next two years through a new environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy.
Our logistics PR specialists gained great traction in the trade press and regional media, ensuring the story was featured in titles including Motor Transport and the Express and Star.
Exciting acquisitions
The logistics group behind Pallet-Track also celebrated the acquisition of a new transport business, which we helped shout about in trade and local titles.
Leicestershire logistics specialists X2 (UK) Ltd joined The northstarr Group, the parent company of Pallet-Track.
We helped them announce the news in the likes of Motor Transport, MultiModal and FleetPoint, as well as regional titles like Insider Midlands, to ensure the industry learned of this latest acquisition.
Topping up the trophy cabinet
Our work didn’t end there. June was also a big month for R&Co as we picked up our fourth PRCA DARE Award!
We collected the trophy for Low Budget Campaign at the North of England and Midlands ceremony for our reactive PR work with professional services firm Blythe Liggins Solicitors.
This is the third year running that we’ve picked up a PRCA DARE Award, which is testament to the hard work and creativity of our team.
