December wasn’t all mince pies and champagne. Admittedly, there were a lot of both consumed at R&Co HQ, but in between celebrating the end of our biggest and best year as a PR and marketing agency, we found time to keep the press coverage rolling in for our growing roster of clients.
Surgery puts fox cub back on her feet
Our veterinary PR specialists captured the world’s attention with a world-first from North Downs Specialist Referrals.
The team performed brain surgery on fox cub Hazel, who was found next to her mother, who had been killed by a car.
Hazel required emergency care for an enlarged forehead and seizures.
The team secured a wealth of regional, national, international and trade coverage for the story, with hits in the Daily Express, Surrey Mirror, Kent Live and news titles across north America.
We’re pleased to report that following surgery, Hazel is all bright eyes and bushy tail, and is expected to make a fully recovery.
Run run reindeer
Have you ever wondered what Santa’s reindeer actually see?
Our vet PR pros took full advantage of the season to deliver a fun campaign for Veterinary Vision, providing insight into reindeers’ eyesight and how they see the world when pulling Santa’s sleigh.
We secured coverage in top trade title Vet Times, as well as regional coverage in the News & Star.
A colourful Christmas for Blythe Liggins Solicitors
The Leamington Spa law firm ran a Christmas colouring competition that utilised an illustration by artist Jackie Roberts, which captured the attention of the town’s youngsters and local media, including the Leamington Observer.
Miller Homes spreads festive cheer
Our property PR team had a busy December celebrating the fundraising efforts of housebuilder Miller Homes.
Its Southern region raised a staggering sum for local good causes in 2024. The team took on all sorts of activities, including a charity golf day, bake sales, physical challenges and quiz nights to raise more than £28,000!
The money has been donated to local hospice Naomi House & Jacksplace, in Sutton Scotney, which supports children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses and conditions.
Our team loved having the opportunity to shout about Miller Homes Southern’s achievements in the regional press, including In Your Area.
Meanwhile, Miller Homes South Midlands raised an equally impressive amount for Northampton charity Hope Centre, which gained coverage in the local press, including the Northampton Chronicle and Echo.
The team raised almost £23,000 for the organisation, which supports people affected by homelessness, hunger and hardship.
Well done to both regions for their hard work!
R&Co Ho Ho
As a team, we chose to support two important charities in 2024 – The Myton Hospices and the MND Association.
We’re proud to have raised and donated more than £1,200 to these great causes, with fundraising efforts that included:
🏃 A month of 10K runs (Jack Stocking)
🏋️ 5,000 squats in November (Tom Payne)
🍰 Baking and eating cakes (Everyone else)
We also dropped some home baked treats to the brilliant team at Warwick Myton Hospice in December, to say thank you for all the vital work they do.
