July PR coverage highlights at R&Co Communications

By Sarah RossIn Media Relations, PR and CommunicationsPosted July 31, 2024
Go karters from Miller Homes South Midlands on the track

Summer slowdown… what’s that? There’s no such thing at R&Co. Our PR team have been busy keeping the steady drumbeat of coverage coming in for all of our clients in July.

Check out the PR hits our team secured in the regional press and trade media for our clients this month.

Hats off to Miller Homes

The team at Miller Homes South Midlands swapped their hard hats for helmets this month to raise money for a homelessness charity in Northampton.

Their charity fundraiser at renowned karting track Whilton Mill raised over £15,000 for The Hope Centre and our property PR pros ensured the story gained traction in the local media and construction trade press.

Our online and print hits included the Daventry Express and Construction UK.

Community spirit

We gave our new client Marshall’s Transport the warmest of welcomes by securing coverage in its local press for its community-focused efforts.

The company provided its trucks and drivers to the Worcester Carnival for free for the fourth year running and is supporting other community events during the summer.

Our logistics PR specialists gained coverage in print and online, including hits in the Evesham Journal and Worcester News.

A story that really sticks out

If you’re squeamish you might want to look away now, as our veterinary PR team tackled an eye-watering story this month for Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service.

When Labrador Toby suffered a freak injury that nearly blinded him, veterinary specialists at Willows acted quickly to save his sight by removing a three-inch stick from the seven-year-old dog’s eye socket.

Toby the Labrador

For those with a strong stomach, you can read all the details in the national and regional press, as we achieved coverage in Mail Online and the Mirror for the story, as well as Oxford Mail and This is Oxfordshire.

Highlighting professional partnerships

Pallet pooling specialists IPP celebrated its 15-year partnership with customer Bakkavor with a brand-new contract to ensure the company’s fresh products continue to reach supermarket shelves on time and in the best quality.

Our team pitched the story to the trade press to gain relevant coverage in a range of packaging and sustainability-related media titles, including this piece from Packaging News.

Celebrating success

And finally, congratulations to Prime Accountants for its latest award nomination. The firm was announced as a finalist for Excellence in Professional Services in the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards 2024. We are proud to have supported the team with their entry and wish them the very best of luck at the ceremony later this year!
